Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Director, AI enablement and Business Process Architecture to shape HR AI strategy and future-state workflows across Hire-to-Retire. You will lead a global team of workflow designers and AI specialists, partnering with HR, Product, Technology, and Risk to deliver intuitive and compliant employee experiences.

The role requires 7+ years in digital transformation, strong leadership, and deep HR domain knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, IT, CS, Engineering, Systems Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in digital transformation, automation, business architecture, workflow or process design, or workforce experience.
• Experience developing and executing enterprise AI, automation, or digital transformation strategies in a large, global organization.
• Hands-on leadership with generative AI, conversational AI, ML, intelligent automation, RPA, or workflow orchestration.
• Understanding of HR operating models, service delivery, and employee lifecycle journeys including Hire-to-Retire.
• Proven ability to design end-to-end experiences across multiple systems, teams, functions, and geographies.
• Experience leading global teams with coaching, performance management, and capability building.
• Experience managing product or transformation roadmaps, prioritization, implementation, adoption, and value realization.
• Executive-level communication, stakeholder management, change leadership, strategic planning, and translating ambiguity into decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team spanning AI enablement, automation, and business architecture.
• Define orchestration patterns for HR workflows across Core HCM, Talent, Learning, and Service Delivery.
• Partner with Product and Technology to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, secure, and supportable.
• Drive disciplined experimentation and clear criteria for scaling, redesigning, or stopping initiatives.
• Establish governance for responsible AI, privacy, security, and compliance in HR tools.
• Define KPIs, value realization, and communicate progress to senior stakeholders.
