Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Director, Data Science to lead a team of applied data scientists and GenAI engineers who turn TDS’s data into AI-driven workflows. You will own the design, build, validation, and delivery of the solutions behind TDS’s digital roadmap, from model-informed design and lab-in-the-loop workflows to production-ready systems.

You will report to senior leaders and collaborate with scientists, SMEs, and DDSAI to scale AI capabilities across J&J,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of applied data science or AI solution development experience.
• 3+ years in a people leadership role.
• Hands-on expertise across AI/ML stack including Python, GenAI/LLMs, and cloud environments (AWS, Snowflake).
• Proven track record delivering AI/ML into production with reusable components.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at the Senior Director or VP level.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the TDS AI Solutions strategy and portfolio roadmap.
• Lead design, build, validation, and delivery of AI/ML, generative AI, and agentic solutions.
• Establish reusable patterns, components, evaluation frameworks, and scalable architectures.
• Serve as DDSAI technical owner for large, shared AI capabilities and roadmaps.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a team of data scientists and engineers for scalable impact.
