Job summary

BILL is hiring a Sr. Staff AI Security Engineer to lead secure deployment of AI/ML systems. You will design secure AI gateways, enforce policies, and embed security in the AI development lifecycle while partnering with platform, engineering and IT teams.

Your role will mentor engineers, own the AI security roadmap, and help BILL maintain a robust security posture as it scales across its fintech ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and scaling security systems in high-growth environments.
• High proficiency in Python or Go to build and scale security tooling.
• Deep understanding of LLM-specific attack vectors: prompt injection and jailbreaking.
• Experience designing secure API gateways and orchestration layers.
• Familiarity with OWASP LLM Top 10 framework and AI risk management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure AI gateways and policy layers across multiple models/providers.
• Lead formal AI red-teaming to identify vulnerabilities before production.
• Own the AI security roadmap and advise leadership on AI risks.
• Mentor engineers on AI security best practices and secure architecture.
