Qualifications

• Deep software engineering foundation with a track record of building sophisticated systems.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience overseeing 10+ engineers.
• Player-coach mindset, balancing leadership with hands-on technical work.
• Applied AI experience using AI coding agents or LLM tech to deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Strong systems thinking to transform complex human workflows with tech.
• Executive-level communication and judgment with senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional cross-functional instincts for multi-disciplinary collaboration.
• First-principles thinking to ask right questions and align early.
• Strong ownership mindset, accountability, and problem ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering roadmap and execution for clinician-facing tools and care delivery systems.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows using AI and agentic systems.
• Build and lead high-performing teams with ownership and high technical standards.
• Stay hands-on through architecture decisions and code reviews.
• Partner with Product, Clinical, Operations, and Data Science to translate problems into scalable solutions.
• Drive engineering quality, velocity, reliability, and operational health.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and leaders as Midi grows.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders on architecture and strategy.
• Define how Midi uses AI and modern tools to rethink care delivery.
