Job summary

Midi Health is seeking a Director of Engineering, Growth & Consumer to lead the teams behind the patient experience from discovery through onboarding and ongoing engagement. This true player-coach role blends architecture oversight with hands-on coding and AI-assisted development.

You will partner with Product, Marketing, Design, and Data Science to deliver scalable solutions, hire and mentor engineers, and shape Midi's technology strategy as growth accelerates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience and have led organizations of 10+ engineers.
• Deep software engineering foundation for building sophisticated consumer-facing applications.
• Player-coach mindset, comfortable leading while remaining technically credible.
• Strong product and consumer instincts driving meaningful outcomes for users and the business.
• Executive-level communication and judgment to partner with senior leaders and navigate ambiguity.
• Exceptional cross-functional instincts; collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, Data Science and Clinical teams.
• AI-native approach to engineering and practical understanding of AI tools.
• First-principles thinking; ask the right questions and align early.
• Strong ownership mindset; accountability for outcomes and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering roadmap and execution for Midi’s consumer and growth experiences.
• Build and guide high-performing engineering teams with ownership and high technical standards.
• Stay hands-on with architecture decisions, code reviews, and prototyping.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Design, and Data Science to translate needs into scalable solutions.
• Drive quality, velocity, reliability, and operational health across your domain.
• Hire, mentor, and grow engineers and leaders as the company scales.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders to shape the broader technology org.
