Job summary

Midi Health is hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and ship LLM-powered features across clinical workflows. You will drive retrieval, tool use, agents, and evaluation, ensuring safe, scalable deployments that improve clinician and patient experiences.

You will collaborate with clinical, product, and safety teams to set the bar for performance and safety while mentoring teammates and contributing to our AI craftsmanship and tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with production LLM/ML features
• Strong Python coding skills; able to work full stack when needed
• System design for AI systems: retrieval, orchestration, caching, evaluation, and cost/latency tradeoffs
• Deep command of modern AI coding tools; rapidly applying new techniques
• Mentorship instincts; willingness to share knowledge and coach others
• Rigorous about evaluation and safety; avoid vibes-only launches
• Strong communicator; able to explain model behavior to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship LLM-powered features end-to-end: prompt design, retrieval, tool use, agents, evaluation, and production operations
• Build evaluation harnesses and feedback loops for responsible shipping of AI features
• Deeply integrate AI capabilities into patient, clinician, and operational workflows
• Partner with clinical, product, and safety stakeholders to define what good looks like
• Contribute to internal AI-for-engineering practices and tooling
• Stay close to research and ecosystem; bring best practices back to the team
