Job summary

Collaborate with nursing, case management and discharge planners, verify insurance and admissions criteria, and maintain bed availability records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in health care or related field preferred.
• Two years' Admissions experience preferred.
• LVN or RN license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the admissions process efficiently to ensure a positive experience for residents, families and staff.
• Plan, direct and monitor daily admissions operations to meet census goals and admit residents efficiently.
• Screen patients against admission criteria and obtain required documentation.
• Coordinate with Nursing, Case Management and other departments to ensure timely communication and bed availability.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and ensure proper handling of PHI.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or related field

Two years' Admissions experience

LVN or RN license preferred
