Vaco is recruiting an Assistant Corporate Controller (Director) in Atlanta to lead the accounting function, drive timely financial reporting, and scale processes across a multi-entity environment.

The role reports to the Corporate Controller, oversees GL, consolidated reporting, and fixed assets, and coordinates audits while strengthening SOX controls and close velocity. A clear path to growth complements a strong culture and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA designation.
• 9-11+ years of progressive accounting experience in both public accounting and corporate leadership.
• Experience leading monthly close and audit processes in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong SOX compliance and technical accounting foundation, including consolidations.
• Proven ability to develop teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience supporting or operating in mid-to-large scale organizations ($500M-$3B+ revenue).
• ERP system experience and involvement in system upgrades or implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrity, speed, and scalability of financial reporting across the enterprise.
• Oversee general ledger operations, consolidated reporting, and fixed assets.
• Manage accelerated close, lead audit coordination, and strengthen SOX controls.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic finance initiatives.
