Qualifications

• Teacher certification is required and active.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a classroom teacher.
• Two years’ experience as an Instructional Coach or Teacher Leader preferred.
• Proven ability to build relationships with staff, students, parents and leadership.
• Track record of increasing student achievement on state measures.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience using data from tests, portfolios, observations to plan instruction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency.
• Background checks completed.
• Urban school turnaround experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the school's instructional staff development.
• Guide teachers in using instructional materials and differentiation.
• Review lesson plans weekly and conduct observations with debriefs.
• Model effective instructional practices and provide coaching.
• Use data from multiple sources to inform instruction and intervention.
• Collaborate with parents to build confidence in the program.
• Coordinate special projects and community involvement.
