ACCEL Schools Riverside Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio seeks a Director of Academics to oversee instructional staff, drive curriculum implementation, and raise student achievement. The role emphasizes coaching, differentiation, and data-informed practice within a rigorous, supportive learning environment.

The successful candidate will have a teaching background, state certification, and a track record of improving outcomes through staff development and collaboration with families and the school

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education required; Master's preferred.
• Active professional teacher certification.
• Minimum five years of successful teaching experience.
• Two years in instructional coaching, teacher leadership, or related role preferred.
• Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders including staff, students, families, and boards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support instructional staff to implement the curriculum across grade levels.
• Guide teachers in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Review lesson plans on a weekly basis.
• Conduct frequent teacher observations and debriefs to inform growth.
• Model effective instructional practices and delivery of instruction.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and targeted professional development.
• Offer continuous PD that supports curriculum and student achievement.
• Use multiple data sources to identify barriers and drive instructional improvement.
• Monitor student achievement data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Engage with parents to build trust in the instructional program.
• Coordinate special projects such as peer mentoring and community involvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
