American Electric Power seeks a Major Projects Director to lead a multi-billion-dollar program with responsibility for safety, schedule, cost, and stakeholder alignment. This role directs multiple project components, ensuring regulatory compliance and successful delivery on schedule and within budget.

The position requires 10+ years in construction/project management, PMP certification, and a track record of executive-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ten years of qualified experience in major construction or project management.
• PMP certification required.
• Valid state driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Own overall project execution and direct project management functions to complete assigned project.
• Implement and oversee safety program and report on project strategy to executives.
• Establish contracting strategy and negotiate with contractors and EPC/engineering agreements.
• Lead governance with joint venture partners and drive integrated schedules across all workstreams.
• Manage budgets, risks, staffing, and regulatory filings to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.
