Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Director of Components, Piping & CAD to lead the organization supporting Commercial Nuclear, New Nuclear, and Federal Nuclear programs. You will set strategy, oversee engineering and design delivery, and drive capability across multiple sites including Phoenix, AZ.

The role requires long-range planning, top-level leadership, and a track record in nuclear or highly regulated environments; travel may be necessary to support projects and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Nuclear, or related Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering and/or design experience, preferably in nuclear, power generation, federal facilities, or other highly regulated industries.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience managing engineering, design, or multidisciplinary technical organizations.
• Demonstrated experience in component engineering, piping engineering, piping design, plant design/layout, CAD, or 3D modeling.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary projects through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design and/or modifications to operating facilities.
• Demonstrated experience with workforce planning, resource management, recruiting, talent development, and organizational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Components, Piping, and CAD organizations and establish priorities and long-range capability plans aligned with the needs of our Commercial Nuclear, New Nuclear, and Federal Nuclear businesses.
• Lead and develop the managers and technical leaders responsible for each organization; build a strong talent pipeline.
• Drive performance focusing on safety, quality, schedule, budget, productivity, and accountability; ensure effective execution of engineering and CAD activities.
• Maintain a forward-looking view of demand across all three nuclear markets and develop staffing and capability plans to support current commitments, future projects, and growth.
• Ensure the organization has standards, processes, tools, and skills to deliver high-quality engineering and design products; champion 3D modeling and digital engineering.
• Partner with business leaders to align resources and capabilities with project priorities and promote efficient cross-team execution.
