Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Governance & Oversight Specialist to join the U.S. Banks Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Governance and Execution Team.

The role supports governance reporting, audits, exams, and related program execution activities across the Legal & Compliance division. The ideal candidate has a 3–5 year track record in financial services risk or process/project management, strong analytical skills, and exceptional written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years demonstrated experience in the financial services industry, in a Risk or Process / Project Management role.
• The ability to produce high-quality, error-free deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment is essential to this role.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; must be able to effectively communicate and establish strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels of seniority and background.
• Strong organization and time management skills; must be able to manage multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to analyze and assimilate a variety of data and produce meaningful presentations and reports.
• Excellent analytical skills; enjoys solving problems and streamlining processes.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall support for Non-Financial Risk governance reporting processes, to include the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc materials for senior-level management and external regulators.
• Provide overall support for regulatory exam and audit management to include assistance in gathering audit/exam responses and materials from contributors and assistance in drafting and preparing audit/exam responses.
• Assist in organizing audit and exam materials.
• Assist in documenting departmental processes.
• Create and maintain various department trackers and record-keeping systems.
