Job summary

You will identify risks, design protection mechanisms and ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborating with battery design, BMS and testing teams, you will drive risk-informed decisions, improve safety performance and document guidelines to support safe operation under varied conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage. A PhD is preferred.
- Experience in battery systems or safety engineering.
- Understanding of risk analysis and failure prevention.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety.
- Practical and able to solve complex problems.
- Strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze safety risks in battery systems and components.
- Design and implement protection mechanisms to prevent failures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and certifications.
- Work with BMS and thermal teams to improve system safety.
- Support testing and validation of safety performance.
- Investigate failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop safety guidelines and documentation.
- Ensure safe operation under high temperature and heavy usage.
