AbbVie seeks a Director of Neuroscience Strategy CBSO to lead cross‑functional teams across Discovery, Development, Commercial, and Strategy to shape long‑range TA strategies and above‑brand disease area plans. You will influence executive leadership and drive complex analyses into actionable outputs.

The role requires a strong consulting background, demonstrated leadership in Neuroscience, and a track record of delivering strategic initiatives through collaboration with multiple functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required; advanced degree highly preferred.
• 8+ years with Bachelor's, 6+ with Masters, 4+ with PhD/Doctorate in relevant field.
• Strategy, R&D, commercial or business development experience in pharma/biotech.
• Proven facilitative leadership in a cross-functional, global team.
• Matrix environment experience with influencing and aligning stakeholders.
• Independent ownership of projects to plan and execute in ambiguity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external collaboration.
• Strong analytical ability to assess complex issues and risks.

Responsabilités

• Builds and leads cross‑functional teams to develop Disease Area Strategies for Neuroscience.
• Drives Neuroscience TA-wide initiatives with ownership of delivery and alignment.
• Collaborate with Search & Evaluation and Business Development to integrate external strategy.
• Serve as a thought partner to Neuroscience leaders on strategic topics.
• Monitor external trends and advise on responses for the enterprise.
• Operate with autonomy, drive innovation, and guide senior leaders and Directors.
