Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a Director, Neuroscience Strategy within the CBSO to lead cross-functional initiatives across discovery, development, and commercial teams. This role shapes long-range therapeutic area strategies and drives enterprise-level initiatives.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, influence at the VP/executive level, and deliver strategic outputs through rigorous analyses. A strong consulting background and neuroscience leadership are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree highly preferred.
• 8+ years in corporate/TA strategy, R&D, or related pharma exposure.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional, global teams.
• Ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.
• Strong analytical skills to turn data into strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Builds and leads cross-functional teams to develop disease area strategies for Neuroscience.
• Drives neuroscience TA-wide initiatives with ownership of delivery and alignment.
• Collaborate with Search & Evaluation and Business Development to integrate external innovation.
• Serve as thought partner to Neuroscience leaders on strategic topics.
• Monitor external trends and advise on AbbVie's responses.
• Operate with high autonomy and elevate the strategy team brand.
