Job summary

Curative in Austin, TX seeks a Director of Network Development to lead contract negotiations with major health systems and large physician groups, and to strengthen provider partnerships that support affordable, high-quality care for Curative members.

You will coordinate with Claims, Medical Management, Credentialing, Legal, and Compliance, manage costs, and mentor a growing team while expanding access to care across our national network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• 7+ years of work experience in provider contracting and/or health insurance.
• Current hospital/large group contracting experience in the relevant state.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts with major health systems and large physician groups.
• Understand clinical specialties to align coding structures with contracts.
• Build provider partnerships to support local market strategy.
• Coordinate with Claims, Medical Management, Credentialing, Legal, and Compliance.
• Meet unit cost targets while maintaining a robust network.
• Identify initiatives to reduce total medical cost and renegotiate agreements.
• Analyze financial impact of high spend contracts and alternative terms.
• Collaborate on provider compensation and pricing development.
• Resolve provider service escalations with internal/external partners.
• Manage key provider relationships and interface with business staff.
• Coach new team members on negotiation strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of providers in the geographic area and landscape.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs to ensure timely filings and parity.
