Job summary

Curative Health Plan is seeking a Director of Network Development to lead the creation and management of our insurance provider network. You will negotiate terms with major health systems and large physician groups, optimize network access, and drive cost-effective outcomes for members.

This fully remote role focuses on Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina markets within a national framework. Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and healthcare contracting experience are essential for

Qualifications

• Superior problem solving, decision-making, negotiating skills, contract language and financial acumen.
• Experience with complex Hospital / Health Systems, Large Physician Groups and Ancillary provider contracting and negotiations.
• Experience in developing and managing key provider relationships including senior executives.
• Demonstrated experience in building external relationships with provider partners.
• Understanding of managed care, delivery systems, and provider business models.

Responsibilities

• Manages contract negotiations with Major Health System and large physician groups and ancillary providers; conducting several negotiations simultaneously to meet growth demands.
• Deep understanding of clinical specialties to ensure contract terms address coding structures impacted by negotiations.
• Proactively builds relationships that nurture provider partnerships to support the local market strategy.
• Maintains effective channels of communication with matrix partners including Claims, Medical Management, Credentialing, Legal, Medical Economics, Compliance, Sales and Marketing.
• Responsible for meeting unit cost targets while preserving an adequate network to remain competitive.
• Identifies initiatives to improve total medical cost and quality; renegotiates existing agreements as needed.
• Prepares and analyzes financial impact of high spend or complex contracts; supports reimbursement modeling activities.
• Collaborates across teams on provider compensation and pricing development; reviews reports related to negotiation and reimbursement.
• Assists in resolving provider service complaints and negotiates with internal/external partners to resolve issues.
