Job summary

Moog Space and Defense Group is seeking a Missiles and Launch Vehicle Valves Business Segment Director in the Propulsion Systems Business Unit. This senior leader will set strategic direction for growth, product-line strategy, and P&L accountability, while guiding cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment from Buffalo, NY.

The role requires a BS in engineering or business, an advanced degree preferred, and 12+ years of leadership experience including budgeting, forecasting, pricing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related discipline
• Master’s degree in engineering or business preferred
• 12+ years of experience managing business functions in a diverse environment
• Demonstrated P&L leadership with budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy and negotiations
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Set, communicate and execute the strategic plan for the Missiles and Launch Vehicle Valves Business Segment
• Manage the P&L and balance sheet, set targets for bookings, sales and profit
• Oversee day-to-day program execution of complex development and production programs
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal Moog teams
• Drive customer satisfaction metrics (on-time delivery, quality) and support new business opportunities
