Moog Space and Defense Group in Buffalo, NY is seeking a senior leader to direct the Missiles and Launch Vehicle Valves Business Segment within the Propulsion Systems Business Unit of the Space Division. This role sets strategic direction for sales growth, product line strategy, P&L accountability, and KPI improvement across the segment.

The successful candidate will have 12+ years of cross-functional leadership, proven P&L management, and strong executive communication to align stakeholders,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related discipline required.
• Master’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
• 12+ years of experience managing business functions in a diverse environment.
• Demonstrated P&L leadership including budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy and sales management.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent business and financial acumen including contract management and risk assessment.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities at scale.
• Excellent relationship-building and networking skills for partnerships.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate the strategic plan for the Missiles and Launch Vehicle Valves segment.
• Manage P&L and balance sheet with targets for bookings, sales and profit.
• Oversee day-to-day execution of complex programs for multiple customers.
• Build relationships with customers, partners and internal Moog stakeholders.
• Drive customer satisfaction through metrics like on-time delivery and quality.
• Support new business opportunities aligned with market needs.
• Contribute to Propulsion BU leadership in planning and capital decisions.
• Collaborate with peers to secure workforce and capital plans.
