What you are accountable for:

The Director of Media Activation oversees all aspects of the media activation process and workflow, including integrated cross-channel platforms for a select group of accounts. This role collaborates closely with department heads to build strong relationships across teams, ensuring our work is innovative, adheres to best practices, and is flawlessly executed. It also involves working with the VP of Global Media Operations & Activation to improve processes and operational efficiency. Proven leadership, mentorship, extensive media experience, and strategic thinking are essential.

What you are responsible for:

Internal

  1. Oversee cross-channel planning and activation for active campaigns on selected accounts.
  2. Act as key integration lead, collaborating with media strategy, omnichannel, social, search, and content teams throughout campaign cycles.
  3. Promote collaboration across media services, programmatic, social, and search teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
  4. Drive profitability through innovative workload planning, process improvements, and standardization.
  5. Maintain quality control, ensuring campaigns are executed correctly, accurately, and efficiently.
  6. Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with online partners for resolution.
  7. Ensure GDPR compliance and adherence to internal processes and client-specific contractual requirements.
  8. Work with the Media Strategy team to translate plans into activation inputs and optimize campaigns to meet performance goals.
  9. Be involved in all campaign phases, from planning through measurement.
  10. Ensure timely financial tracking and budget management.
  11. Serve as an advisor and mentor, leading the team in flawless execution.
  12. Participate in strategic projects related to media buying and activation.
  13. Collaborate with the VP to enhance operational processes.
  14. Anticipate and resolve problems proactively.
  15. Foster strong relationships with agency partners when applicable.

Customers

  1. Work with account and media strategy leads to maintain strong client relationships.
  2. Identify and deliver innovative media activation solutions tailored to client challenges.
  3. Support agency RFP responses and pitches as needed.

Market Knowledge

  1. Stay updated on industry trends, platform evolutions, and solution innovations relevant to media activation.
  2. Maintain core knowledge of digital media landscape, including programmatic and ad tech platforms.
  3. Contribute to agency thought leadership initiatives.

Management Responsibilities

  1. Manage workflows for assigned accounts, delegating tasks appropriately.
  2. Oversee cross-channel processes to ensure flawless execution and streamlined operations.
  3. Promote best practices across accounts.
  4. Support training and development initiatives in media operations and activation processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Knowledge:

  • Agency operations
  • B2B marketing, including client understanding, industry knowledge, media activation, planning, and vendor landscape

Skills:

  • Active listening, analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), detail orientation, organization, stakeholder management, presentation, problem-solving, solutions-oriented mindset, and people management.
  • Proficiency with platforms like Asana, Basis, Nexelus.

Experience:

  • At least 9+ years in digital marketing, agency or client-side.
  • 5+ years with media planning/execution platforms.
  • 6+ years managing teams.
  • 3+ years leading processes across multiple teams.

Compensation Philosophy:

We offer flexible work arrangements, competitive salaries based on skills and experience, and comprehensive benefits. Our salary range for this role is $108,015 - $166,750, determined by location and experience. Additionally, we offer a discretionary profit share aligned with company performance.
