Job summary

UC Law SF's Career Development Office seeks an Associate Director of LLM, MLS and Alumni Advising to guide non-JD students and alumni in career development and employment strategies. The role may be filled as Director or Associate Director based on qualifications.

The position focuses on advising LLM/MLS students and alumni on U.S. job markets, bar admissions, and networking, with the goal of transforming student employment outcomes within a collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications

• JD degree and at least three years of legal practice.
• Experience delivering group presentations and preparing career-related materials/programming.

Responsibilities

• Counsel LLM students on professional development and job opportunities in the U.S., bar admissions requirements, and U.S. legal market.
• Design and deliver trainings/workshops/programs for LLMs on self-initiated job search, interviewing, and networking.
• Build relationships with alumni to expand employment opportunities for students and post openings.
• Provide one-on-one counseling to LLM students, review applications, and guide interview prep.
• Coordinate LLM participation in off-campus job fairs and other opportunities.
