Job summary

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) seeks a Director of Event Production to lead the operational execution of live events across MSG venues, including Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall.

You will liaise with clients and venue departments to maximize efficiency and manage budgets for assigned shows. The role operates in a 24/7 environment, coordinating union and non-union crews, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality guest experience, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years) preferred.
• 8-10 years in Live Event Production Management with supervision of staff.
• Knowledge of rigging, engineering review, power provisions and safety protocols.
• Experience with Union regulations and processes (I.A.T.S.E., I.B.E.W., Theatrical Teamsters).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with financial and operational implications.

Responsibilities

• Produce AutoCAD drawings for seating maps used for on-sales across events.
• Administer end-to-end event planning from advancement to load-in and load-out.
• Coordinate staging, lighting, sound, seating, and staffing with venue departments.
• Generate and maintain budgets with updates throughout the event process; track costs.
• Support NYC-based administrative and management teams and identify efficiencies.
• Ensure work rules, codes, and policies are maintained with outside agencies.
• Schedule and direct union and non-union labor for daily operations.
• Troubleshoot event-day issues and respond to emergencies quickly.
• Oversee load-in/installations and post-event load-out per deadlines.
• Evaluate client/guest experience and coordinate with venue leadership.
