Job summary

TechStream seeks a strategic Director of Licensing Program Strategy & Analytics to lead market intelligence, commercial planning, and financial analysis for its global licensing programs. You will support IP acquisitions, royalty investments, and underwriting with cross-functional teams and senior management.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and modeling skills, executive communication, and a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives in tech/IP licensing or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, data science, computer science, or related field.
• MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, or related fields.
• Experience in acquisition underwriting, valuation, or due diligence with senior decision-makers.
• Strong ability to assess opportunities using market, product, financial, and strategic data.
• Advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills with revenue forecasts and scenarios.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for senior executives and Board audiences.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead market, competitive, and licensee analysis to size opportunities across licensing programs.
• Develop strategic target-account frameworks including usage, coverage, and geography.
• Monitor tech, product, industry developments; translate into licensing strategy changes.
• Support diligence for new acquisitions, including market sizing and revenue scenarios.
• Partner with technical and legal teams to align portfolio strengths with opportunities.
• Develop and track program performance metrics; optimize licensing returns.
• Maintain revenue forecasts, pipeline reports, and scenario models for negotiations.
• Lead cross-functional projects related to licensing strategy and portfolio integration.
