Job summary

TechStream seeks an experienced Patent Attorney to join its team and drive licensing and monetization strategies across global portfolios. You will collaborate with licensing, legal, technical, and business groups to evaluate patents, craft licensing positions, and support negotiations and enforcement activities.

The role emphasizes commercial impact, requiring the ability to analyze complex patents and technologies and communicate findings clearly to executives, engineers, and outside counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
• Technical or engineering background appropriate for sophisticated technology patent work.
• At least 4 years of patent prosecution experience.
• Experience analyzing patent claims and developing claim charts.
• Ability to analyze complex technical and legal issues and develop practical, commercially focused recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Includes analyzing, charting and presenting patents from around the world.
• Includes working with outside counsel and experts to develop infringement and validity positions and help execute enforcement strategies.
• Includes developing prosecution strategies that align with licensing and other monetization objections, and working with outside counsel to implement them.
• Includes working with TechStream's business team in evaluating new patent portfolios and technologies.
