Job summary

VMRC is seeking an Organizational Learning and Development Manager/Director to lead strategic learning initiatives across the campus, advising leadership and delivering programs through partnerships with internal presenters and external consultants.

The role supports onboarding, employee orientations, and learning series, while aligning education opportunities with business goals. On-site, nonprofit setting in Harrisonburg, VA, with competitive benefits and strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree + equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in organizational and staff development; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in some cases with 3+ years in organizational and staff development; leadership a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns and directs the learning function’s strategic direction and annual plan.
• Coordinate with Senior Director of Culture and Belonging to design curriculum and select vendors.
• Lead and facilitate education programs across VMRC, including onboarding and learning series.
• Manage vendor/consultant relationships and multi-department program strategy.
• Supervise activities of others and communicate effectively with leadership and staff.
