Job summary

OpenArc seeks a Director, Learning Delivery Systems to architect and lead our learning platforms for a major national program. You will own the technical roadmap, ensure scalable, secure, accessible systems, and guide cloud-native LMS design on AWS across multiple business lines.

You will oversee complex migrations, manage vendor work, and drive API, IAM/SSO, CRM integrations and analytics to deliver delightful user experiences for thousands of learners.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and/or leading enterprise software products or SaaS platforms.
• Governance across the full SDLC including requirements, design reviews, QA/UAT, release, and operations.
• Proven success migrating complex platforms while maintaining service continuity.
• Oversight for integrated platforms (APIs, SSO/IAM, CRM, data/analytics).
• Ensuring accessibility, privacy and security requirements for user-facing platforms.
• Hands-on software development and cloud-based platform delivery experience.
• Built/design-led experience for at least one custom LMS from architecture to deployment.
• Deep knowledge of SCORM, xAPI/Tin Can, LTI, AICC and how they map to platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design the software architecture for a cloud-native LMS on AWS.
• Direct vendor work, review designs, and enforce architectural standards.
• Make decisions on system design, e-learning standards, APIs and security patterns.
• Lead a legacy-to-modern migration while keeping thousands of learners online.
• Serve as solutions architect for learning platforms, focusing on scale, security and UX.
• Establish and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap aligned to strategy.
• Guide build-versus-buy decisions, API strategy, identity management, data flows and cost.
