Job Summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Director of Epic Applications. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor, subject-matter expert, and escalation point for the system and staff. The Director will build and maintain relationships, engage in strategic planning, and resolve issues. Responsibilities include planning roadmaps with strategic partners in business units and IT, working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and within scope and budget, and developing strategies to enhance patient safety and user satisfaction. The role also involves leading teams across multiple applications, standardizing workflows, and managing long-term planning and budgeting for investments.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Business Units, Engineering, and Operations teams
• Manage multiple teams and application implementations
• Oversee vendor relationships
• Collaborate with VMO, Finance, and accounting teams on financial matters
• Decommission non-standard applications
• Support Mission and Values
• Drive innovation and proactively identify improvement opportunities
• Implement strategic plans and change initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing senior client relationships
• Experience with Epic implementations or operational support
• Minimum of 8 years leadership experience in healthcare
• Proven success managing large, complex projects and programs
