Senior Director, Information Technology, AST

We are seeking a visionary Senior Director, Information Technology to lead our innovative company to new heights. As our Senior Director, Information Technology, you will be a part of the senior leadership team responsible for creating strategy, goals, and objectives for the business. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing technology strategies to drive efficiency and support organizational growth. This is a remote role based in the western region of the United States.

As a key member of the IT senior leadership team, reporting to the VP, CIO of IT and dotted line to the Division Presidents, the Senior Director is an influential role that also makes investment and priority trade-off decisions, assists in negotiating and managing vendor contracts, and recruits, retains, and develops high-performing teams. The Senior Director will also take on special projects and initiatives on behalf of the CIO.

  1. Strategic planning: Develop and implement long-term technology strategies and roadmaps that support the overall segment business goals and objectives. This includes identifying areas for process improvement, developing plans to adopt modern technologies, and defining metrics for the IT strategy.
  2. Technology evaluation and selection: Monitor emerging technologies, assess their potential impact on manufacturing, and recommend innovative technologies for adoption.
  3. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business needs, fostering innovation and progress.
  4. Project management: Oversee technology projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion and strategic alignment.
  5. Industry knowledge: Stay updated on industry and technology trends, encouraging experimentation and idea sharing.
  6. Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate the technology team, focusing on professional growth and skills development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology
  • 5-7 years of experience in technology leadership, especially in enterprise applications within manufacturing environments
  • Proven track record of innovation and problem-solving
  • Experience with complex ERP systems
  • Leadership experience in managing technical IT operations
  • Ownership of technology strategy and selection
  • Experience with ERP platforms, automation, cloud environments (AWS, Azure), CRM, BI/Data Analytics, and Agile methodologies
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS, MBA, or related advanced degree
  • Automation experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with multiple ERP platforms
