The IT Project Tech Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. Recognized as a technical authority for an area within the business, they require basic commercial awareness. Typically, multiple individuals within the business provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. This role has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables and provides advice related to technology or business operations. The work impacts an entire area, which ultimately affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function or job family.

Responsibilities :

• Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Interfaces with senior project staff and client senior management regarding project status.
• Recommends and oversees process improvements.
• Evaluates complex business and system processes, influencing significant business impact.
• Provides expertise and an advanced understanding of IT project leadership principles.
• Understands how their area and others (architecture or infrastructure) integrate to achieve business objectives.
• Impacts the business by influencing strategic decisions through advice, counsel, or services.
• Acts as an advisor or coach to junior analysts; manages work allocation.
• Performs sophisticated analysis to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Uses comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence others.
• Assesses risks appropriately in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and reporting control issues transparently.

Qualifications :

• 6-10 years of experience in a related technology role, with subject matter expertise in the field.

Education :

• Bachelor’s or university degree or equivalent experience; a Master’s degree may be preferred.
