Job summary

Hulcher Services Inc. seeks a Director of Information Technology to direct and control all IT activities, ensuring secure and efficient operations of computer and voice systems across the organization.

The role reports to executives and oversees IT and voice systems staff, with an emphasis on strategic planning, governance, and vendor relationships to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of information technology experience including systems development, assessment and implementation
• 3+ years of managerial experience leading IT teams
• Broad knowledge of software/hardware platforms, data warehousing and migrations, with ability to work with customers, suppliers and staff

Responsibilities

• Recommends and plans IT strategy to support company objectives based on research and evaluation
• Directs implementation and execution of new or upgraded information systems with defined plans, procedures, deadlines and accountability
• Evaluates and implements IT procedures and equipment for efficiency and cost containment
• Ensures users and customers receive professional, timely support and service
• Leads, trains and develops IT staff for maximum effectiveness
• Keeps abreast of trends and regulations to ensure compliance
• Develops and maintains the company Technology Disaster Recovery Plan
• Develops/selects and conducts user training as needed
• Establishes strategic partnerships with IT suppliers and consultants
• Develops and tracks performance metrics to monitor systems and IT project progress

General Summary: The position of Director of Information Technology is established to direct, plan, organize and control all activities of the Information Technology Department and to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operations of all computer and voice technology and processing systems.

Positions reporting to this position: Information technology and voice systems personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities(functions considered essential are marked by an *)

• *Recommends and plans information technology to support and meet company objectives based on research and evaluation
• *Directs implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
• *Evaluates and implements IT procedures and equipment for maximum efficiency and cost containment.
• *Ensures users/customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service.
• *Structures, leads, trains, and develops IT staff for maximum effectiveness.
• *Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• *Develops and maintains company Technology Disaster Recovery Plan.
• *Develop/selects and conducts user training on an as-needed basis.
• *Establish strategic partnerships and relationships with key IT suppliers and consultants.
• *Develop and track performance metrics to monitor system performance and progress on IT projects
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field or an equivalent of education and experience

Experience Requirements

8-10 years of information technology experience to include systems development, assessment, and implementation as well as 3 or more years experience in a managerial role. Additionally, the incumbent will have a wide range of knowledge and experience with various software and hardware platforms, data warehousing and systems compatibilities and migrations. Strategic thinker with a focus on using technology to help create value. Demonstration of ability to work successfully with customers, suppliers, and employees and provide leadership in a team environment.

The employee must have advanced leadership skills and excellent strategy and planning abilities; advanced knowledge of Information systems development and implementation; and advanced skills in problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
