Job summary

Job description

The Manager of Information Technology will manage and direct the company’s information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service. Under administrative direction, directs, manages, supervises and coordinates the activities and operations of the Information Technology Division within the Administrative Services Department including hardware, software, network, telephone, and computer systems administration; identifies, recommends, develops, implements, and supports cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization; prepares bid specifications and analyzes bid proposals for computer and network equipment and software; maintain compliance for SOC2 certification, coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex support to the various divisions of the organization

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manage and provide leadership to a team of IT Team members
• Establish priorities, assign work, and monitor team performance.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage and maintain documentation for systems, infrastructure, and support processes.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
• Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
• Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
• Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
• Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
• Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
• Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Oversee the organization's network, servers, cloud services, and workstations.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of all IT systems.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, deployments, and technology improvements.
• Manage hardware and software procurement, inventory, and lifecycle planning.
• Oversee help desk operations and ensure timely resolution of user issues.
• Provide escalation support for complex technical problems.
• Partner with department leaders to identify technology needs and improve business processes.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
