Job summary

Farther is seeking a Director Investment Strategy to act as a senior advisor-facing SME, delivering deep capital markets analysis and scalable investment solutions for Farther Advisors in New York. You will balance client consultations with quantitative research, asset allocation, and cross-functional technology work.

This hands-on role requires CFA designation (or equivalent), an advanced finance degree, and extensive client-facing portfolio management experience.

Qualifications

• CFA designation (or equivalent) and an advanced degree in finance/economics.
• Extensive client-facing experience as a portfolio manager, strategist, or senior analyst.
• Strong ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability to a growing wealthtech firm.
• Comfort using AI tools to support financial modeling and processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior, advisor-facing resource providing portfolio analysis and insights.
• Conduct complex investment analysis, model building, and post-call support for advisors.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to guide internal investment tools.
• Provide mentorship and development support as the team scales.
