Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Director, Retrieval Operations – Inventory Strategy to lead inventory forecasting, routing, and prioritization across retrieval channels. You will own planning, capacity alignment, and governance, partnering with Operations, Product, Engineering, and Analytics to improve yield and reduce delays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, analytics, finance, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Eight or more years of progressive experience in operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, capacity planning, workforce planning, or related field.
• Experience translating demand forecasts into actionable production, routing, prioritization, and capacity plans in high-volume environments.
• Ability to identify performance risks, develop recovery plans, and influence decisions across boundaries.
• Strong financial and analytical skills to evaluate productivity, capacity, yield, and cost.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering to develop operational technology and automation.
• Exceptional communication skills to present clear executive-level recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Own the inventory strategy and planning framework for Payer Retrieval, translating client demand into weekly and daily operating plans.
• Establish forecasting and prioritization strategies based on commitments, pacing, yield, service levels, and cost.
• Own routing framework for inventory across channels based on provider behavior and capacity.
• Monitor performance against commitments and lead recovery plans for aging or blocked inventory.
• Use scenario planning to evaluate changes in demand, capacity, and priorities for leadership decisions.
• Partner with Workforce Management to connect demand with staffing and capacity plans.
• Support annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting by linking demand, capacity, and financial targets.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, and governance for inventory health and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with BI/Analytics to deliver actionable reporting and executive insights.
• Lead cross-functional partnerships and develop the Inventory Strategy team.
