Job summary

Datavant, a data collaboration platform powering healthcare data solutions, seeks a Director, Retrieval Operations – Inventory Strategy to translate client demand into weekly and daily plans. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, analytics, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Eight or more years of progressive experience in operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, capacity planning, or related field, including at least three years leading teams.
• Experience translating demand forecasts into actionable production and capacity plans in a high-volume setting.
• Demonstrated ability to identify performance risks, develop recovery plans, and influence across boundaries.
• Strong financial and analytical skills evaluating productivity, capacity, service, yield, cost, and tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to develop operational technology and AI-enabled workflows.
• Exceptional executive communication and ability to convert complex analysis into clear recommendations.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, data-visualization, forecasting tools; SQL or similar analytics is a plus.
• Experience in healthcare operations, payer operations, or vendor management is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the inventory strategy and planning framework for Payer Retrieval, translating demand into weekly and daily operating plans.
• Establish forecasting, segmentation, and prioritization strategies based on commitments, pacing, age, yield, and cost.
• Define routing rules for inventory across channels balancing provider behavior and client requirements.
• Evaluate performance and adjust distribution to reduce delays and manual touches while improving cost efficiency.
• Monitor performance against commitments and lead recovery planning for delayed or blocked inventory.
• Use scenario planning to evaluate demand, capacity, and priority changes and report recommendations.
• Partner with Workforce Management to align staffing with inventory demand and production plans.
• Support annual planning and budgeting by linking client demand, capacity, and financial targets.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, and governance for inventory health, forecasting accuracy, and unit economics.
• Collaborate with BI and Analytics to translate data into actionable insights for leadership.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to refine prioritization and routing logic and roadmap.
• Collaborate with Call Center leadership on segmentation between human calls and Voice AI.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Strategy team and cross-functional partnerships.
