Job summary

Bealls, Inc. seeks a Director of Inventory Control to lead accuracy and integrity of inventory across the enterprise.

The role oversees inventory accounting alignment, enterprise processes, and DC QA auditing, guiding both Inventory Control and the DC Quality Assurance Audit team. Reports to VP of Finance Operations and partners with Store Operations, Distribution, Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Loss Prevention, and IT to drive improvements and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail inventory control, supply chain, or distribution.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, lifecycle, internal controls and audit requirements.
• Experience supporting both retail store operations and distribution center environments.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise inventory accuracy across physical counts, subledger, and GL.
• Develop and execute strategy to improve inventory accuracy at scale.
• Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
• Lead DC Quality Assurance Audit team and standardize QA procedures.
• Provide executive reporting, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations.
