Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Business Class Director to lead cross‑disciplinary teams across the Integrated Watershed Management group.

You will drive strategic planning, risk management, and delivery excellence, coordinating with market sectors, operations, technical directors, and marketing to meet client needs. Based in the United States with travel up to 35%, this full‑time role emphasizes quality, HDR values, and active participation in our employee‑owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration required for leadership roles overseeing technical design.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to collaborate with HDR business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build relationships and coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, business groups and operations.
• Lead and participate in technical risk management through process and resource reviews; provide technical advisory services on projects; maintain quality standards and delivery expectations.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes and coordinate with the WBG Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of tools, standards, and techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency.
