Job summary

Inspire Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Director of Indirect Spend to lead enterprise-wide procurement strategy, negotiating services, IT, marketing, facilities and other indirect categories to enable growth and cost efficiency.

Reporting to the VP of Operations & Supply Chain, you will build a high-performing procurement organization, drive supplier performance, and deliver measurable annual savings while aligning with our patient-first mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or category management.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing procurement professionals and cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level indirect sourcing programs and supplier negotiations.
• Experience managing multiple indirect spend categories in a growth-oriented organization.
• Proven track record delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
• Strategic mindset with strong business and financial acumen.
• Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional negotiation and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational leadership capability.
• Ability to lead through change and organizational growth.
• Results-oriented with accountability and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise sourcing strategies across indirect spend categories.
• Lead market assessments, benchmarking, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Drive total cost of ownership optimization while ensuring service quality.
• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and governance programs.
• Lead executive supplier reviews and performance management activities.
• Establish supplier scorecards and KPIs; monitor performance and risk.
• Drive supplier-led innovation and continuous improvement; manage spend to maximize value.
• Partner with Finance to validate savings and track value realization.
