Job summary

Child Development Schools in Austin, TX, invites you to join its Director-in-Training program. This hands-on, three-month path prepares you to become a School Director through activities in hiring, budgeting, marketing, and curriculum leadership across our centers.

Successful completion offers a permanent School Director role. The program includes an onsite boot camp in Clayton, NC, and ongoing mentorship as you build warm relationships with families, staff, and communities while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in early childhood education or a similar leadership role.
• CDA, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Certified or licensed as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, training, and support for staff while ensuring state compliance.
• Supervise and inspire the team, manage scheduling and substitutes.
• Build strong connections with families and staff and conduct informative tours.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and readiness of the school for daily activities.
• Handle billing, payroll, and records with accuracy.

Requirements

Who We're Looking For:

• A leader with 1--3 years of experience in early childhood education or a similar leadership role
• Someone with a CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Certified or licensed as required by your state -- you know the drill!
• A communication champ with a heart for kids, families, and staff
• A multitasking master who can juggle schedules, tasks, and surprises with grace
• Flexible, hands-on, and ready to jump in wherever needed
