Child Development Schools is seeking a motivated Director-in-Training to join our team for a 3‑month hands-on program. The role includes an onsite boot camp in Clayton, NC, covering hiring, budgeting, marketing, and curriculum know‑how.

Complete the program to earn a permanent School Director position. Prepare to lead staffing, training, and family engagement while ensuring state compliance and delivering exceptional early childhood education.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of leadership or early childhood education experience.
• CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• State licensing/certification as required by your state.
• Strong communication with kids, families, and staff.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a busy environment.
• Hands-on, flexible approach and willingness to pitch in as needed.

Requirements

Who We're Looking For:

• A leader with 1--3 years of experience in early childhood education or a similar leadership role
• Someone with a CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Certified or licensed as required by your state -- you know the drill!
• A communication champ with a heart for kids, families, and staff
• A multitasking master who can juggle schedules, tasks, and surprises with grace
• Flexible, hands-on, and ready to jump in wherever needed
