Child Development Schools is hiring for a Director-in-Training to develop into a School Director, with a hands-on 3-month program including a one-week onsite boot camp in Clayton, NC. The program covers hiring, budgeting, marketing, and curriculum knowledge to prepare you for leadership.

You will recruit, train, and lead a team, ensure compliance, and build strong relationships with families. A permanent director role awaits upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood leadership roles preferred.
• CDA/Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field.
• State certification as required by your state.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, training, and support for staff while ensuring state compliance.
• Manage scheduling, payroll, and other administrative tasks with accuracy.
• Foster strong relationships with families and staff to build a thriving community.
• Host informative tours and welcome new families to the center.
• Support budgeting and marketing efforts to grow enrollment.

Qualifications

Who We're Looking For:

• A leader with 1--3 years of experience in early childhood education or a similar leadership role
• Someone with a CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Certified or licensed as required by your state -- you know the drill!
• A communication champ with a heart for kids, families, and staff
• A multitasking master who can juggle schedules, tasks, and surprises with grace
• Flexible, hands-on, and ready to jump in wherever needed
