Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Director II, SLED Capture & Proposal Management for the Public Sector to lead capture and proposal strategy across SLED markets. You will manage internal teams and external partners to drive growth, align priorities with regional sales plans, and ensure disciplined, high‑quality pursuit execution.

Reporting to the VP, Public Sector Capture & Proposal Management, you will influence across Sales, Engineering, Product, Pricing, Legal, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading SLED capture, proposal, or BD teams.
• Strong understanding of SLED procurement, contracting, and funding.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence across orgs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SLED capture strategies for state, local, education, and healthcare markets.
• Lead proposal development for competitive SLED bids with focus on clarity and differentiation.
• Oversee schedules, resources, risk management, and quality of bids.
• Mentor and scale capture teams while coordinating with external partners and vendors.
• Drive metrics like pipeline conversion, PWIN, and ROI.
