Job summary

HealthEquity is seeking a Director of Consumer Identity Technology to lead two identity engineering PODs and a global support function. You will own the identity platform roadmap, security, and modernization efforts across web and mobile, including CIAM strategy, passkeys, and account recovery.

You’ll drive vendor relationships, architecture decisions, and cross-functional planning with fraud, product security, and member services while building in a high-trust healthcare/fintech context.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/platform engineering with people leadership.
• Direct experience with consumer identity and access management (CIAM).
• A track record owning a production identity or API platform at scale.
• Fluency with AI-assisted software development and tooling.
• Experience making vendor and architecture decisions in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of the identity platform’s roadmap and unify login experiences.
• Maintain production reliability, monitoring, and hardening of the identity platform at scale.
• Explore and prototype next-gen authentication approaches beyond passwordless.
• Lead two identity engineering PODs and a global support function.
• Own vendor and architecture landscape and CIAM strategies.
