Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Director of IAM to lead identity, access management, and governance across the enterprise in Austin. You will shape strategies, roadmaps, and security controls for 50,000+ users including contractors and partners, aligning IAM with regulatory requirements.

You will drive modernization, enforce security standards, and deliver measurable service outcomes while leading a large, skilled team of professionals in a dynamic government

Qualifications

• Graduate or post-graduate degree in Math, Science, CS, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of IT leadership experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven track record leading enterprise IAM or identity governance functions.

Responsibilities

• Direct IAM division operations, staffing, budgets, and service delivery.
• Develop IAM roadmaps and governance models for secure access management.
• Oversee provisioning, provisioning automation, and role-based access control.
• Lead initiatives for MFA, passkey adoption, and privileged access security.
• Coordinate with executives and stakeholders on IAM strategy and security posture.
