Job summary

Maximus is hiring a Director- HR Transformation, Change & Adoption to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across the U.S. and India. You will shape workforce behavior, accelerate AI-enabled change, and partner with senior leaders to deliver measurable outcomes.

This role combines organizational development, learning, workforce transformation, and change leadership with a focus on human-centered transformation and employee experiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive change management experience across multi-country transformations.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams (US and India).
• Hands-on experience implementing AI-enabled solutions and using AI to accelerate change work.
• Background as Learning & Organizational Development practitioner—designing learning journeys or leadership development programs.
• Recognized change management certification (Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent).
• Outstanding executive communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
• Master's degree in OD, I/O Psychology, HR, or MBA.
• Experience in government services, regulated industries, or large-scale HR transformations (centralization, AI/automation rollouts).
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and human-centered design.
• United States based with experience supporting distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape how the organization evolves—translating strategy into workforce behavior, capability, and mindset shifts that enable transformation at scale.
• Connect change efforts across initiatives—ensuring employees experience one cohesive, aligned transformation.
• Lead a globally distributed team across the U.S. and India, building a culture of ownership, creativity, and continuous improvement.
• Orchestrate complex transformations (e.g. talent migration, AI, organizational optimization) with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
• Anticipate resistance before it surfaces—understanding organizational dynamics and shaping sentiment and engagement.
• Lead the human side of AI adoption—ensuring employees build trust, capability, and confidence in new technologies.
