Job summary

Panopto seeks a Director, Industry Practice Lead - Higher Education to elevate our academic video technology strategy. You will act as a trusted authority across campuses, shaping go-to-market approach and partnering with executives to expand adoption and outcomes.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Marketing to publish industry perspectives, advise on campus IT priorities, and guide customers through strategic adoption. Willingness to travel 25–40% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and demonstrated experience in higher education tech leadership.
• 8+ years in higher education leadership with 3+ years in commercial GTM at an ed-tech provider.
• Deep expertise in LMS platforms and campus video infrastructure.
• Proven ability to communicate with academic leaders and executives.
• Knowledge of WCAG/ADA, AI in pedagogy, and academic governance.

Responsibilities

• Represent Panopto as a leading voice at major academic gatherings and conferences.
• Partner with Account Executives on high-profile institutional opportunities with product insight.
• Conduct strategic health and usage reviews to improve adoption and identify expansion.
• Develop domain playbooks and content addressing campus pain points and LMS workflows.
