Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in Roanoke, VA seeks a senior project leader to own and deliver large transmission projects valued between $1B and $10B. You will oversee safety, schedule, cost, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder relations across cross-functional teams, contractors, and JV partners.

You will drive integrated schedules, manage the program budget and contingency, and lead change management while reporting to Transmission Executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Accounting, or Finance.
• Ten (10) years of qualified experience in major construction projects, project management, portfolio management, commissioning, controls, or contract negotiations.
• PMP certification required.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (typical).

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee project management to complete assigned high‑voltage projects.
• Implement safety program and strive for Zero Harm across the program.
• Report project strategy to Transmission Executive leadership with actionable solutions.
• Lead contracting strategy and negotiate EPC and engineering agreements.
• Manage schedule, budget, risks, and cross‑functional coordination with partners.
