Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in Tulsa, OK seeks a Vice President of Transmission Projects - West to lead a portfolio of major capital projects ranging up to $5 billion. You’ll direct a multi-disciplinary team and partner with operations, engineering, environmental services, and vendors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, risk management, and strong stakeholder communication, with travel as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years experience in construction/project management, with leadership roles.
Experience directing multi-year, multi-project portfolios with large budgets.
Strong business acumen, conflict resolution, and people development skills.
Proven ability to lead, plan, and drive safety and compliance in large programs.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversee policies, procedures, and programs for project objectives.
Direct an innovative project management organization with proper scoping, staffing, and budgeting.
Develop partnerships with Operations, Engineering, Environmental, and OEMs for long-range plans.
Lead safety programs to ensure a Zero Harm work environment.
Control schedules, cash flows, and capital expenditures for environmental projects.
Mentor Project Directors/Managers and foster personal development.
