Job summary
SharkNinja, a global product design and technology company headquartered in Needham, MA, is seeking a Director of UX for Hardware to drive strategy and execution across hardware and software experiences. You will build and mentor a high-performing UX team and partner with Industrial Design, Product Development, Engineering and Insights to deliver world-class products.
You will champion human-centered design, embed user research, evolve design patterns, and bring AI-driven tools into the workflow
Qualifications
- 10+ years of UX design experience
- 5+ years in people management or leadership overseeing designers
- Experience integrating software UX with hardware products is highly desirable
- Compelling portfolio showing strategic design leadership and measurable impact
- Degree in UI/UX Design, Industrial Design, or related field
Responsibilities
- Drive new product experiences with high-quality design craft and user delight
- Build and grow a high-performing UX team
- Collaborate across UX, Industrial Design, Product Development, and Engineering
- Lead design reviews and provide constructive direction to elevate quality
- Own deliverables end-to-end across hardware and software
- Champion human-centered design and embed user research throughout the lifecycle
- Evolve UX patterns for hardware product experiences
- Evangelize UX company-wide and educate partners on user value
- Incorporate AI tools and emerging tech into the design process
- Set team goals and report UX impact to executives
