Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in student affairs, especially graduate student programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and supervise staff and foster an inclusive environment.
• Experience managing budgets, financial planning, and compliance with university policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to represent the center to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and supervise day-to-day management of the Center.
• Oversee large-scale events such as orientation, matriculation, commencement.
• Develop long-term strategic plan for graduate student services aligned with Yale’s mission.
• Coordinate with university administration, departments, and student organizations.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, evaluation and policy development.
• Serve as liaison to graduate programs and national student life forums.
